I'm carrying the CM-9. I've got over 200 rounds through it, no problems, and it shoots better than the Ruger LC9 I just sold.

I just sold my Glock 26. Great gun, but I've decided I want a light weight, slim pocket pistol. I'm happy with Kahr's, but if Glock EVER comes out with pocket pistols, the Kahr's will be listed in the for sale section on the ODT.
Sorry, but I won't own anything any other way. If I can't count on it, I don't want it.
With that said, I have owned hi-points as "truck guns" before and they ran like a top.

Amen Bro...A Glock PM line? Makes my heart beat faster just THINKING about it.
I admit I have not read the previous 7 pages but I'm pretty sure most of the Taurus Warnings (you call it bashing) come from those like me who have had 1 or more lemons from this manufacturer. It's not like they are rare or expensive or anything lots of dissatisfied people have owned them. Why would I spend 80% of the price of a new Glock on a weapon that multiple people had warned me was a quality crap shoot?
I wish I Knew then what I know now. Where there is smoke there is usually fire.
Lots of children, young apprentices etc.. think that when teachers,parents bosses try to show them the right way instead of their way that they are being mean. This is most often not the case. It's usually much easier and less painful to learn from someone elses mistake than to make your own but if you insist on doing it your way then get ready for the eventual lesson you won't forget.

Any gun beats no gun. That said, buy the best you can afford, but remember that flawed tactics and poor training have killed many more people than weapons preference. Got a scoped deer rifle? Cool. Got an AK/AR/M14? Cool. Glock? Hi Point? H&K? Whatever. Adjust your gameplan accordingly, and make what you have work for you.
I buy whatever guns the cool people buy.
