Any one in Hiram area need a mechanic job. We need some help. Got busy and it's just me. Remove and install transmissions, timing components, tire work, would like a stable thinking individual with drivers liscense. No felonies, 1099, Were easy going and try to be happy.

Yes no one wants to do this kind of work anymore. Im a 10 year diesel mechanic and keep telling people this feld is drying up of good people that want to do this anymore. Its easier to collect a gov. Check and live off the system that learn a trade..blows my mind. Good luck in the hunt.

Old school Wrenches are retiring, The new ones rely to much on high tech computer diagnostic equipment. They tend to be parts changers rather then proper diagnosis repair techs..With all the technology used today, proper diagnosis can be hampered by all the electrical controls. I miss the simple non computer controlled V8. DD
I don't miss all those vacuum hoses. Other than that I miss them older cars to.
I found it quite difficult to find a shop I would want to work with hiring out this way (so I went to work for myself). Back home, unless you were master certified and working at a stealership for 5 years+ the pay was pretty bad. Lotta competition in Houston, and alot of available labor. In houston you could pay a guy 200 bucks to pull and install a FWD transmission at a shop, or 100 bucks and a case of beer for him to do it in your driveway (those Latin boys are NOT afraid of work)
Nobody wants to pay a good mechanic what they're worth.
I have a full time job and honestly i am not a mechanic by trade but rather a shade tree mechanic but depending on the hours that you have available I would be interested in taking a look at your operation and seeing if I could help you out. I live in Dallas. Send me a PM if you have any questions.
