several long gun ads I've viewed have photos of the sale item :wof:
but
the camera they use will only take photos of sections/parts of the gun
and can not take a photo of the complete gun

yes, I realize you are showing up close detail :thumb:

but, what about the whole/full photo of the sale item

I, and I'm sure other members do not have a printer to print out the sectional photos and tape them together to view the whole gun :frown:

so
those that are taking photos of a long gun
PLEASE
get a larger camera, FYI a larger camera will also take detail photos

those interested in your sale item just may want to see the big picture

:fish2:

over and out, WAIT i can't say those 2 together

Theres plenty of long guns around here that it wouldn't matter if you taped the pics all together you still wouldn't show the complete rifle

This. And if you back up enough to try and fit them into one shot then someone else whines about not being able to make out the fine details. Seems that the whiners usually aren't serious buyers anyway.....

it's not that difficult
to post a photo of the complete firearm
along with the detail photos ; sheeze

EDIT TO ADD:
I once took a complete photo of a M1 155 mm Long Tom
it was parked at the Gate next to the railroad track at Sand Hill (Hwy 27 - early - mid '60s)

in fact they had 2 on either side of the road, pointed right at the gate

any of you old timer remember this when you did Basic there

Dad was the Commander of the 37th Field Artillery on Sand Hill; at that time

What's the point in taking a picture of the entire gun, especially a long gun?
If I stand that far back to get all of that 28" barrelled shotgun, from muzzle to butt pad, there will be no way to judge the quality of the finish, spot any dings in the stock, etc.
Don't we all know what an M1 Garand looks like?
I'm OK with a pic of the front half, a pic of the back half, then again on the other side...
