Men over 50 should not use a chainsaw.

I believe the quote means that men over 50 should work less and let the young bucks do it.

The older we get, the more prone to heart attacks, slips & falls, and accidents in general. If we raise our children right, by the time we're 50, they'll be ready to take over the world's problems.

When I reached 70, I had to face reality.

Bought a saw with a compression release. Couldn't pull one on full compression without causing a heart attack. On a good day when the saw is feeling charitable, i can.

Me and the saw are still doing pretty good.

I have never have been big on getting on a ladder with a chainsaw.

I removed a couple of dozen (or 3) pine trees from my lot, and I became rather adept at chaining them off.

It's a hard reality going from the guy people call for help to having to call people for help.
Was going to be a good day trout fishing then this! Slipped in some mud on the Taccoa river and then a large rock took out my left leg. Can’t put any weight on it for three months. I’ve lost my independence for months.
