Had occasion to live in Jennings, LA several years ago, some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Lived in Lafayette Louisiana for over 10 years and loved it, Best hunting and fishing you ever seen. Even married me a little coonass girl from the bayou. She was nuttier then a fruit cut and meaner than a polecat..lol,, Hopefully going back in Oct. to do some hunting with some buddies that still live there.

I grew up about 50 miles North of New Orleans just South of Baton Rouge, and my wife is from Lafayette. Them swamp boys are somethin else !!!

Went to New Orleans for a family reunion when I was 15, watched my yelling out the window as he drove "**** YOU, you Cajun bastards" ,lol. Good memories

Funny how some don't know what a coonass even is.
They are a unique group of swap people. They are as a general rule quite proud of the moniker "CoonAss"

Had 3 buddies from the military that were coonass. The more they drank the less you understood them.

I worked with some coon ass pipe fitters a few years ago. Some of the best mechanics I've ever seen. They ate crawfish everyday. One of them was a better welder when he was drunk. 100% on everything he touched, every time.
