Mid-life career change... What would you change to?

It’s not about the money. We make our own hell. Follow your dreams. I’d take half of what I make to have more balance. Optimization is killing certain sectors. Keep swinging and you’ll hook one up.

I would like to be a technician solving problems with my hands or refinishing antique furniture. Neither pay well enough for me to do that so I'll keep plugging away polishing a seat with my ass using my brain and getting paid a lot more.

I solve problems on very very large machines and systems as a millwright. made 130k last year. You just gotta solve the right problems with the right difficulty, that normal people can’t do

I'm just curious. I've lost my passion for my field and have grown to resent it. Looking to hit the reset button. I won't set limitations on suggestions so that someone else may benefit who is not in my exact shoes.

Going back to school is ok to achieve the goal.

What do you like doing and what do you currently do? Without this information this thread is useless because we could all be suggesting your current field.

I'd get a job on a fishing boat and be a master baiter.........:becky::fish2::becky::fish2::becky:

It would have to be a shrimp boat.
:drum:

I do Enterprise IT solutions.. I should have started side hustling sooner and need to have more of them. The internet can put so much at your fingertips. Also, I build **** with my hands and I've had neighbors offer to pay me to build them stuff.

If I had to completely change careers - professional poker player.
