Damnit, I should have filled up tonight.
Unconfirmed reports that Turkish Navy is now siding with the coup. Fighting in Ankara. Military taking a harsher line with protesters after soldiers were previously attacked/assaulted during the night.
Problem is Erdogan ran his mouth too much earlier tonight. Calling an active military coup a "gift from God" because he can "clean up" and "eradicate" the opposition probably wasn't the wisest thing to say.
Military starts fearing for their jobs even if they weren't directly aligned with the Coup, and they act out of their own self-interest.
Also can't believe what Western media is saying about the events on the ground. They will promote what Obama wants, and Obama has put his support behind Erdogan as he put his support behind Morsi.
