I've read some expats believe he arranged the coup himself to seed out those who aren't loyal to him.

Either way, looks like it fell apart pretty quickly today. There might still be a few holdouts but it didn't work out well for 'em, sadly. It'll be very hard to try it again.

So news today is that they have arrested over 6000 people and have dismissed over 3000 judges and prosecutors along with demanding return of the PA dissident.

I'm about 98% sure this was black flag.

It's not over yet! Some reports of unidentified helicopters coming in. Also some potential tanks leaving barracks in places.

Might be nothing, might be a last attempt, too early to know for sure. Our media is stuck on the police shooting anyway.
