Missing a sale.

I once had a guy who sent me one general question after another about the history of a type of item I posted for sale but never said he wanted it. In the meantime four people pm’ed me with “I’ll take it”. He got really made when I marked it sold and sent me a message saying “I was talking to you about it first…you had no right to sell it to anyone else.” I told him that he gave me no indication that he wanted it and my “right” is to sell my stuff any way I please

I agree with you there. I had a guy agree to price, time, and location which required me to hold the gun an extra day. He emails day of that he needs to back out and spend the money on tires.

That don't bother me as long as I haven't canceled any plans or left yet.

I did have to make plans for the meet up which required not scheduling anything else during that time. So just a pain, but not as bad as just not showing up.

Why is that even a thing? You have no idea if 10 people already sent a PM. There's a reason the rules say that it's not a deal until confirmed in PM by both parties.

Timestamps? The files marketplace is far less painful than the ODT way of things. "I'll take it" means full asking price, as is, no backing out. Here you get a bunch of "PM sent" nonsense like a dog marking territory just to open up the PM and find a lowball arse offer with the word "cash" attached to it as if it meant jackchit.
