Any of you fellas still do them? My eight year old son has got into them and likes help. I did them as a kid and enjoyed them. Anybody else reliving their childhood helping their best buddy?

Heck yeah I build models. Big ones, small ones. Turn on the radio and relax while doing something constructive. It's always a great feeling when you get done and it looks like you had hoped.
I'm in the process of building a big diorama with two M1151 Humvees and two Maxxpro MRAPs just like the convoy I was in daily in Iraq. So far I have one Humvee done. The brass work is tedious to put it mildly.

I used to really get into them when I was young. Have built some as an adult as well.
I have some on display....and have many others unbuilt, some rare or harder to find, that I really need to sell or trade off.

Wow those are awesome!!! I did a lot of cars growing up. I couldn't ever find the military stuff in the 1/35. Right now my son is doing a diorama with my help lol. I am doing it the way he wants it done. Just helping with what he cannot do.

What kind of models do you have your wanting to get rid of? Might be a me to work something out.

It's funny because when we go into hobby lobby they are starting to reintroduce a lot of models that I did as a kid.

I have a lot of unbuilt kits (almost all military) that range from 1/144 to 1/350 to tons of 1/35 adn 1/72.. if ur interested in a certain kits or types email me. dont have time w a newborn at home.. I probably have over 300 kits and 1000s of soldiers..

If anybody is looking for NICE models. (Just about anything you can think of from $5 to $1500) All the name brands. Check out Freetime Hobby in Blue Ridge Ga. They do most of their sales on the internet but they have a HUGE inventory at their store in Blue Ridge. If they dont have what you want they will find it and order it for you.

I used to customize diecast cars for agencies I've worked for, and a few plastic models...

Then I started doing the "fantasy" police vehicles...

I realized I needed to stop when I started eying the battleship Iowa model I had unassembled and wondering what it would look like with the hull painted black and a gold star on it.

Yes, some have be reintroduced. But some will never be as the molds were altered or destroyed.

I have mostly muscle cars, drag cars, and classics...all of the 1/24 and 1/25 scale.
Johan, AMT, MPC, Revell, Monogram etc
I have nearly 100 unbuilt kits I think, (I would have to count them)
some are open, some are tinkered with, others are sealed.
I hate to get rid of them, as I have loved model cars since I was a wee lad but I really dont have time to build anymore
and I have a good bunch that are built to look at...so...I probably should.
I could probably enjoy cash and/or guns more than the models at this point.
