Moon Phase and Deer Hunting

More light at night means more movement. Deer don't move just for the hell of it. They always have a reason. The more they move at night, the less they move early in the day.

A full moon on a clear night will typically cause them to move later during daylight hours. Of course all bets are off during the rut.

Strong wind will drive them to ground. They can't hear danger, they can't spot movement and they can't tell what direction the smell of danger is coming from.

Regardless of conditions there will always be some deer moving.

I belive that Maximum Temperature, Minimum Temperature
Wind Direction, and Wind Velocity, effect Deer feeding and movement

As far as the Rut, it's kick off by Photoperiodism - [the response of Deer (Does and Bucks) to seasonal changes in day length]

I was expecting to see many Myths posted
