Mora Knives - Deal of the Day on Amazon

Ordered two a couple days ago. Coming it tomorrow and can't wait. First time Mora buyer here... Thanks for the heads up Op.
They are great-- but be looking at the $10 to $15 ones... They seem to have added accessories, and tripled the price on some of the newer packages.
A $10 carbon steel Mora will make you very, very happy. I wanted a better sheath, and spent $30 on a custom Kydex sheath-- for a $10 knife. And I don't regret this at all-- now it's lashed safely and securely (and readily available) on my get-home bag. The knife "punches well above its class" to use a silly but appropriate metaphor.
Just keep the blade oiled. Use Vaseline if you aren't going to frequently use it.

You can also force a patina on the carbon steels. Lots of videos on different methods, but I just usually boil vinegar and sit the blade in it for about 20 minutes.
Now begs the question stainless or carbon, HD or non HD....maybe I should get all of them.
With carbon it is easier to get them sharper, and the edge will last longer. SS knives are easier to care for (rust) and generally easier to sharpen, but they usually won't get as sharp.
I force a patina on my carbons so they don't rust as easily. But yes get both.
