More NFL Protests

These are spoiled and pampered millionaires protesting America as if they were MLK Jr. or Rosa Parks living in the late 50’s or early 60’s and protesting real and systemic discrimination, segregation, and Jim Crow laws. That is NOT America today – far from it! Why are they protesting – is it that they feel ashamed of their success, do they feel the need to show the home boys they are one of them, or is it out of pure ignorance? What did they hope to gain? Did any of them even think about it at all? Playing the “Victim Card” is a hard sell when you’re a 20 year old multimillionaire living the good life. Black protest have always worked, in America, in the past, but this time it looks to be different, because there is NO just cause.

Denzel Washington, Karl Malone, and Charles Barkley have already realized this and were mocked by their own race for trying to tell them the victim mentality isn’t helping them. But my biggest gripe with the protest is that it is counter productive, if you choose to protest something you think is wrong then that’s fine but at least make sure that your message is coming across in the right way. So now instead of people trying to fix some of the issues we do have as country they have created an issue of disrespecting our flag and now their opinions are worth a half a ham sammich.
