More NRL22 and PRS Rimfire Plus

I'm going to ask a rookie question. What is the difference between NRL22 and PRS22?
NRL22 is done by the National Rifle League. It’s a great intro to 22lr competing and it also has some long range options where ranges have the distance to do so. They also do monthly giveaways for NRL22 members and gear it more towards a family event for all ages to enjoy.
PRS Rimfire is done by Precision Rifle Series and a little different smaller targets and longer distances. Most ranges set up their PRS centerfire matches on Sat and Sunday they use the same barricades and props with distances inside 400 yds for Rimfire challengers to shoot. Both have their place in competing and some enjoy one over the other. Good times had at them all.

I'm going to ask a rookie question. What is the difference between NRL22 and PRS22?
NRL22 sets a predetermined 5 stage course of fire for the month that every club shoots more or less the same (most including West GA add bonus stages). PRS22 the COF is up to the individual match directors to come up with whatever they want. NRL22X is the same way as PRS22 in that way.

NRL22 is 2 minute stages and, if the stages are ran as option 1, only goes out to 100 yards.

PRS22 is usually 90 seconds in our area (2 minutes in some areas not in the south east) and can have targets out to 300 or so yards. The longer distances are usually only for a stage or two.

NRL22X stages can be 90-120 seconds and the distances go out to 300+ like PRS.

The other gave you good information. This is my opinion - NRL22 courses of fire are constrained by the 100 yard ranges and the limited amount of standard props. For me - the pros of NRL22 (can be shot anywhere with 100 yard range, standard props, same COF across country) are also its weaknesses. I prefer the "full size" props of PRS22. I am not driving far to shoot NRL22.
