Mossberg 500 barrel question

I have an old, roughed up Mossberg 500 that I would like to change to a shorter barrel. Online I can find 18.5 inch barrels with a bead sight. Would it be a big deal to install rifle sights or ghost ring sights? If so, is there a north Georgia gunsmith that could do the drilling and tapping?

No big deal just money.

Mossberg quit making their 18.5" deer slug barrel with buckhorn irons. You might pick up a used one on e-bay or gungroker for less than cost of sights and installation.
