Mossberg 835 help

I have a mossberg 835 and everytime I shoot it the charging handle fly off. It doesn’t have a retention. How do I fix that?

First: An 835 is a pump gun. It shouldn't have a charging handle.

Assuming that we're talking about one of Mossberg's automatics, let's ensure that the detent ball and spring are still present. After that, check the ball to ensure that it hasn't gotten stuck in the "depressed" position by corrosion or gunk. Flush with liberal amounts of penetrating oil whilst pushing the ball in and out.

Yep, I had a 935 and got rid of it for the exact reasons Braxton1 mentioned.
