My Mossberg wouldn't cycle and then this bracket and screw fell out.

- What is it?

- Can I just screw it back in?

- Does it have to be straight?

It's the ejector, to my knowledge. This is what it ought to look like from my 835. If the threads on the screw or receiver are not damaged, then you should be able to just screw it back in as is. It may have just worked its way out from firing.

Above post is correct, Mossberg doesn’t have a torque spec for that screw to my knowledge don’t see one in the tech manual. I wouldn’t necessarily advise using thread locker since it’s a steel bolt going into aluminum on a wear item but if you feel the need to I would use a very small amount of blue loctite.

I’d say 20in-lbs or so would probably secure it.

I never even considered there would be a torque spec on that part. I just have never tried to wrench it down any tighter than it needed to be due to the aluminum receiver.
