Here is my dilemma. Hopefully someone can help me out. I have a dedicated AR for hog hunting at night. However i would like to be able to go out mid afternoon and sit until after dark and use it as well. Is it feasable to use raised rings, and mount both the night vision scope and a standard day scope on the same rifle? I know it will be heavy, but is easier than carrying 2 guns. Any help is appreciated. thank you

I have thought about this myself.... The best I could come up with is to use quick release mounts... mark the positions on the rail....

Just get some scope mounts with rails on the top of the rings and mount the second scope on top of the first. Should work phenomenally. If you're seriously wanting two scopes for one rifle get some quality QD mounts and switch them out as needed. If you do decide to mount them both at once please post pictures. Or if you have a quad rail mount one scope on the side and shoot your ar gang banger style.

Look at some of the offset rigs the three gunners use. You're gonna need a scope with a LOT of adjustment if you stack them. Just sayin.

the night vision scope i have does have a rail on the side, so i guess i could go up and over the top. the qd mounts interest me, do they stay on site?

I can ,and have used both of my nv scopes during the day . What nv unit do you have ? Also both have quick connect mounts the only time it will be off much when remounting is if you don't push all the way forward on rail before clamping down .
