The ElCamino was a great muscle car ! These could be built to run just as good as most Chevy hot rods.
Back in highschool I knew a guy that had one that would pull the front wheels off the ground ! Lol

Two that have graced my garage...a '67 big block that I did a frame off resto and a rare '72 GMC Sprint....

I soooo wanted a 454 4speed El Camino in ‘72.
Married, with baby, got a Chevelle wagon with 350 4 barrel automatic instead.
