Music Midtown cancelled ?

I think he was just exaggerating for emphasis. I feel I have a lot of nice things for a poor man.

They could have easily moved it to a private venue if that was the issue. The issue is the economy is tanking, the price is through the roof, and people aren't spending 100+ dollars on concert tickets like they were a few short years ago.

Can't say that, so let's blame a law that was passed in 2014.

They make a big deal about all the lost revenue, but I don't see it. No one travels from out of state, or even too far in-state, to go to Music Midtown, it's a local event.

The businesses in the area might see some sales but they also have to deal with a bunch of drunks, thugs and stoners. The cost to the public for setup, security, thrash, cleanup, traffic, etc. probably far outweighs what they will pay back in sales taxes.

Midtown used to need this kind of event when it was the armpit of Atlanta, but these days I bet that everyone in that trendy, upscale part of town is just as happy it's done with.

I just think it’s marvelous that so many lives are so wonderful that a concert cancellation is a big deal.

They should move the show to Chicago, where everyone will be safe from gun violence.
