I often see conversations regarding Muzzle Brakes and Flash Suppressors so I am wondering. What is the best accessory to add to the front of an AR15 in both .223 & 5.56?

Muzzle Brake?
Flash Suppressor?
or a combination Muzzle Brake Compensator And Flash & Pressure Suppressor Device?
And Why?

Miculek muzzle brake.

Pros: eliminates any muzzle rise. Makes your AR shoot like a .22 magnum. Looks sexy.

Cons: LOUD. REALLY FREAKIN' LOUD. Neighbors at the range throw their empty brass shell casings at you LOUD.

Suppressor is best compromise of all.

But PWS or AK Concepts J-TAC brake (omg, ears ring for days after shooting accidentally w/o ear pro) no rise & little recoil but major flash from my 11.5" shortie. You don't even have to hold the onto the handguards, it just lays there. For when you want to hit your point of aim while rock 'n rollin'.

I literally spewed water when I read this and got the mental image of a bunch of people at the range throwing brass casings at you.

I love muzzle brakes but buddy, did I mention they were LOUD? I wear foam ear plugs inside of the ear muffs. Your hearing won't come back.

I also have aftermarket exhaust on my sport bike. Not to be LOUD but for better performance. The comparison is valid and the net effect is about the same.
