Another problem that can accrue is to heavy a line used or spooled to tight..After first cast if put on to tight, the reel will not apply that much pressure re-spooling while reeling in .

When spooling on reel imagine putting it on the way it’s coming off spool it will help with it being so kinky, also look at reel if you have small spinning 15# line may be to big.

Another thought with cheap Mono, it has to much memory, On my cast net with the mono I will soak it in Fabric softener to relax it..With Fluorocarbon two feature are, it has little to no memory and does not stretch when setting the hook, like mono does.
