Actually have had it for a year and three months, but wanted to post about transformation, and continued work that needs to be done.
The 84 has been in our family since 2001 and was my little brother’s first car. He even drove it from SC to AZ when he first got stationed in Tucson in the Air Force. He beat the crap out of it on trails in SC, AZ, and NM. Then it sat in his garage in NM. Last January he got stationed in Japan. To prevent him from selling his 1984 4runner a buddy and I made a New Year’s Eve trip to New Mexico and Back to recover the old 4runner.
I decided the 4runner had paid its dues and was time to take it from trail rig to restored toy. So far it’s been 1.25 years into the project, but the old toyota is looking pretty good. Still some major projects to work on, but it’s been fun.
Steps
1. Retrieve the 4runner from NM
2. Clean the old girl.
