My Budget precision rifle build, Added 600 yard pics

Nice choice on the scope. Was the factory stock so bad you had to ditch it right away?

How do you feel about the barrel length? I realize it's mainly a bench rifle but it seems like a 26" heavy barrel would be a little unwieldy.

Tupperware stock that comes on the FV is about like the equivalent of Glock plastic sights; cheap and flimsy as possible. Almost impossible to glass bed these. The aftermarket stock has aluminum V blocks that act as pillar bedding. I thought about also skim bedding recoil lug, but with groups like these I'm not sure it's necessary. With the old stock I could squeeze the fore-end and touch the barrel; wasn't consistently getting much better than 1 MOA.

I filled the hollow place in the grip with lead. The whole rig weighs around 16 pounds, which I really like. It's certainly not a gun I'd like to carry down in the woods for huge distances for deer hunting.
