I had this old knife that had a hideous handle on it. With a little coaching from BIKER13 BIKER13 I decided on African Wenge Wood scales. Would I do anything different with how I put it together, maybe but I think it turned out ok for my first one. Got to learn somehow.

Looks like you did well with it from the pics. Handle shape looks good.
Looks like you used epoxy in the final set/clamp up. For future reference make sure you use long set epoxy (if you didn't), the 5 min. stuff has a short life span specially on a user kitchen knife that will see the wash sink often. That crap they use on FIF is due to time constraints and not suitable for quality builds.
Since you only used two tube pins, I'd suggest using slightly thicker walled tubing (but use what you got).

FYI - It looks like we - Georgia Custom Knifemakers' Guild - will be having our winter meeting (Feb 23) in Cochran. You are welcome to attend (welcome to attend any of the meetings just this one will be closest to you). Also Flint River Knife Club meets regularly in Conyers if you are interested. Lot of very fine knife makers in both groups.

Thanks for your suggestions :thumb:
