My first Smallmouth Bass

Two more from the Au Sable River on 7/13.
It was 64 degrees and misting rain @ 0530 while fishing. I love the weather up here.
15.5" and 16" Smallies. Both fell for the Spro Top Dawg.
Best of all, my oldest Daughter was with me.
She caught the one in my left hand.

Very much so. The Au Sable is so clear. It's neat seeing that gorgeous bronze color coming up as you bring them in.

Maybe you can help when a fish start to bite what sould i do some one told me you need give it line i was told when i was a kid real it rite it not sure how get fish to get on my hook when he bites any input be great i did luck up got four pound bass last week be posting pics soon thanks and agian god bless keep fishing and good luck
If I'm using a rubber worm I let them run for a few seconds befor I set the hook. Topwater, I try to wait until I feel the weight of the fish after I see them strike the lure. Crankbaits or spinnerbaits really don't need explanation-
