Spent a little time at the range today with the wife and she was getting frustrated not being able to pull any decent groups with her little Colt pocket lite. I decided to try and keep her going so I swapped her over to the G23 with a 9mm conversion in. Loaded her up a mag and put her on the 7 yard line and 1 pull of the trigger sent a 3 round burst down range. The look on her face was priceless but at this point she was out.

I took the pistol and started to play and it was VERY repeatable. Pulled it apart and didn't see anything obviously wrong so I pulled the 9mm barrel and guide rod out and swapped in the 40. Back to the 7 yard line and same thing, just not as pleasant with the.40. Swapped it back over to 9mm and ran few more mags, still at 2 and 3 round burst (grinning from ear to ear) until my senses kicked in and had visions of an open breach discharge if it was in fact slam firing.

Other than the 9mm barrel, guide rod and a 3 1/2 lb disconnect everything else is factory. I'll put some pics up and see if you guys have any ideas otherwise she's off to the Motherland for a check up. Almost hate to do it but I've been the recipient of a Gen 2 22 detonation due to some bad factory ammo and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Just saying . Since the gun has had some mods done to it , Not saying you did it and certainly ( not on purpose ) shouldn't you take it to glock and swap for a new one. That sir would keep you out of hot water.( And big brother would be happy !!!! )

I used to work at Glock many years ago in the Quality Control dept. Sounds like the crucifix part of the trigger bar either got a little too much polishing or it is bent lower than the specs called for.

Definitely take to Glock on Monday if you can or see if there is an Armour close to you. You might want to field strip it and leave it apart until you can get over there.

Although it sounds cool, I'm not sure that you want to let it stay that way.
I'd be worried about numerous other unintended malfunctions.
