My son's first Bow kill...it's a nice'en

This is our first seasons bow hunting and we have committed to hunting the whole season with bows...We had this buck on camera 2 days before harassing does at 7:17PM...

Well last night, with minutes to spare in legal shooting light, He stuck this big bodied buck at 23 yards with a double lung shot! He shot the buck at 7:17PM...the EXACT same time we had him on camera two days before!


He did an awesome job with a very difficult track to find this big guy too...the Rage Hyperdermic put big holes in him but he did not let much blood out...but his chest cavity was full of blood.

I could not be more proud of him! and he's a great kid to boot!

Thanks guys....I'm sure you can tell I'm not a proud Dad or anything....lol

a milestone moment for sure....his expression when he walked up on this big bodied deer was priceless...

He and I started hunting together 5 seasons ago....I promised him I wouldn't shoot at a deer until he got one....we hunted 3 seasons before he finally got a shot at a deer...he put a perfect shot on the first one we saw....then a doe last year....then this brute!!

I still haven't killed one but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world!
