👍👍👍Get her started with some wadcutters. Ought to be able to handle them o.k. Might just stick with them if she can shoot a good group.

she's over 6ft tall, not her first shootDang bro not a good learner revolver. A little more heft if she is a tiny one...
Wive(s) typically started with a hammer less, rarely shooting but getting use the the idea first.. from there grow into a J frame with a little grip mod...
Progress not perfection...
She will be fine...
Alas safety training classes make women feel part of something...
Always the hope in never is used in anger...
she isn't a new shooter, just not an avid shooter either and at 6ft tall as well...its more about ease of operation as a slide gun just doesnt seem to be her general likingDang bro not a good learner revolver. A little more heft if she is a tiny one...

I have a job at the range so we'll shoot the heck out of it when we pick it up.You need to take her to the range a bunch and let her shoot it and get used to it. She needs to be comfortable with it. Not just holding and carrying it but actually shooting it ! Get some lighter rounds to shoot with and a few defense rounds for carry. She needs to shoot a few of the defense rounds to see what they feel like but practice with the lighter rounds. This is just my opinion.
Good luck !!
Oh, good deal !!I have a job at the range so we'll shoot the heck out of it when we pick it up.

LOL on the pink grips. Mine only wants to shoot my reloads in her 380. I wouldn't recommend because a factory load would be better ballistically. But she hits what she aims at, that's rule #1I tried to get my wife interested in shooting one of my S&W 38 snubbies.
Nope.
After one cylinder full she put it down and went back to her much loved S&W Bodyguard EZ 380.
I had even put pink grips on the snubbie....
There is a reason the 38, 357 and 9mm are called the widow makerI didn't know Taurus made a polymer-frame revolvers, but they do soak up recoil better than a steel gun of the same size.
My LCR is the only 357 I can shoot as much as I like without being crippled the next day. The flex in the frame and that Hogue grip with the gel pad over the backstrap really make a difference.
On the flip side 38 isn't my favorite cartridge for self defense. I remember a few years ago a woman put five rounds into an attackers face, and he just yelled 'stop shooting me lady' and ran out of the house. He did eventually die a mile or two down the road, but hardly a quick stop and he could have just as easily died stabbing her to death.
That's just one story, but there's lots of others where 38 just didn't do the job. Just read some of Jim Cirillo's stuff for some scary/funny incidents he had with 38 police loads.
Still, with good quality SD ammo and good shot placement it shouldn't be an issue.
