Isn't this a violation to the Constitution? It seems like a gross violation of not representing the people through our elected officials. Quote "The compact is designed to ensure that the candidate who wins the most popular votes is elected president, and it would come into effect only when it would guarantee that outcome."
I just don't see how this is be...well I say that, it's a Democrat compact, but I don't see how this could be legal. It should be challenged at the very least by SCOTUS. Popular vote versus what our country was founded on (a republic) seems like a dangerous slope into mob rule

If we went by the popular vote the president would be elected by California and New York. Hillary would be in office.

This is dangerous. Direct democracy fails miserably very quickly. It IS mob rule and that will not end well for us. Not sure how it could be challenged. Would love a law person to chime in.
