Navy's hide and seek champ

Wasted a lot of money, time and jeopardized the mission and readiness of the ship. Give him a few years in the brig and then the"Big Chicken Dinner" (Bad Conduct Discharge).

Not sure how the Navy works, but is it possible that he was going to work then going to bed everyday? Nobody told him he was missing

Straight dirtbag. He will go unpunished sadly. He will claim PTSD of some sort. Unfortunately, that is the get out of jail free card these days. If he can't do that, he will claim he is gay, or his superiors were racist, etc. Follow this story, it will end with him blaming anyone but himself, and they will give him an honorable discharge.

Yes that's wrong!!! But that's what happens when politicians get too involved with the military. Just look at the traitor him/her Manning. Clemency for the perfect poster boy/girl for the Democratic Party. They act like he's a hero. Sad.

Hilarious title for this thread by the way!

maybe, this one does seem to strike me as somewhat strange. guy is on a boat completely away from combat in what would be a fairly low stress position, not sure what reasons he would have to hide out.

There are less than 400 sailors on that ship. After a month at sea you know everones last name without looking at their name tag. I'm not sure how he got food without being seen unless he had help, but someone would have noticed him if he was going to his work center for his shift & standing his watches. And he was an E4 so probably wasn't just out of A or C school, definitely not just out of basic.
There has to be more to this story.

Really weird. Did he have food stockpiled and where was he going to the bathroom?

Navy will probably chalk it up to mental illness and try to sweep it under the rug asap.
