Very true. I posted this back in July:WE need to read this kind of stuff every now and again to emphasize how important firearm safety is in our daily lives.
Only ND Ive had, I was trying to figure out why my Marlin 60 wouldn't feed. I loaded 3 rounds and hand cycled them. Cycled the action 2 more times to be sure, pulled the trigger and BAM. I guess I had another round stuck in the tube somehow. Wasn't even the same brand of ammo. My buddy had been standing where it hit not even 2 seconds before that. Entered the front of my gun cabinet and ricochet around the inside.

Oh ****, that would have been bad.45 Colt Hornady CD
Last year I shot my first deer (308, 16" barrel) with no ear pro, I definitely heard the shot and it rang my ears good. You might have some hearing loss friend. The same principle applies to hunting I think. I've never had my ears ring and I don't really remember hearing the gunshot when shooting a deer. Adrenaline is a funny thing.
