I don't think it is as much the brand as it is the way you maintain it. Agree 100% on the non-ethanol gas, and keeping an edge on the chain helps on both ends. Stihl is all I have owned so far, (029 & MS210 for limbs and small stuff) both used. Huskys are lighter and spin a little faster, but they dont seem to have the same low end. My dad swears by his McCullough and it has never failed to do the job after 15+ years. But that 029 made a believer out of him the first time he used it...
