Need advice with a bear situation

I hunted in Murray for 4 years. As many bears as deer. The members despised them, put them on same level as yotes and pigs. They will destroy a feeder, a food plot, shred the cushions on a treestand, mess with cameras....etc. One year we killed more bears than deer. They need to allow you to shoot them over bait. Good luck

If you get a chance to kill the bear and it’s in season, make sure that you are not near a bait site or on a trail leading to it. They might want to inspect the kill site after the fact.

Bait is shooting deer not hunting. Do some pre season sign location and find how the deer are moving to thier feeding grounds. That is hunting! It's still unfair a deer doesn't stand a chance to a 30-06. In Virginia when we hunt turkey we move around and look for deer movement as well. By the end of turkey season you will usually find where a good bit of deer are moving to food and water sources. Bow hunting is about the only fair test of skill there is left.

My advice...respect the animal as much as you can. Clean up after yourself. Hunt.
