Let my dad borrow my Polytech AKS-223 and he fired a few rounds and finished. Thought he would clean it before bringing it back to me. Sounds nice bit what he did was accidently put a 9mm bore brush on a metal wire braided bore snake and try putting it through the chamber to pull upwards to clean the barrel. Obviously, the rifle is 223/5.56. Any thoughts on how I can get this out of the barrel without ****ing it up? Anyone experienced something similar? Can' be too mad at my dad because it was an honest mistake. Any advice is appreciated.

Hold the wire, spin rifle. It should eventually unthread. Then tap out brush. You could try to screww the brass rods on the bore brush to help prevent posible damage.

Thanks everyone. Good thing is that the cleaning attachment is nylon. Not a metal bristles. I just broke down and called GA Firing Line and talked to the gunsmith. Said he could get it out without messing it up.
