Need help valuing a M1 carbine before listing

Obviously I do not know a whole lot about M1 carbine's so a looking for some guidance and information from the ODT world. The gun has been in the family for a LONG time, but it appears to be a rebuild. Thanks for the help

I guess the biggest problem is I cant find an actual name anywhere on the receiver. I even pulled it out of the stock and I took a really close look at the front sight and the only marking I see is a "U" for the up direction.

Look under the rear sight, get a flash light and you should be able to read the maker.
