Need help valuing a M1 carbine before listing

not one marking on the barrel and here is a pic of the rear sight

Don't know what to tell you, if it ever was USGI someone ruined any collector value. It looks like they scrubbed any SN and manufacturer stamp.

You should be able to see something under the rear sight.

Stock is firewood for collectors. Late round bolt, no marks to see on receiver heel. That number stamped on the top of the rear receiver makes me think foreign service somehow.

As it stands? Maybe $400 - $500 if the barrel is not import marked and in great condition.

Looks like an early Universal made with some GI parts. Stock was a replacement made for Underwood by Lumb Woodworking and rearsenaled at Raritan.

If a Uniiversal $300-350 actual value unless someone does not know. If a mutated up USGI - about the same.

Repros are being made by Kahr and "Inland" which are closer to the original.
