Need help with a screw!!!

A friend of mine has a rossi 357 mag model number 972 and while he was shooting it this past weekend the screw that holds the rear sight assembly came out and the whole rear sight came off. He was able to find the sight assembly but the crew was long gone does anybody know where I can get a replacement or know what the thread pitch is for it?

They have a 971 rear sight lead screw, to be honest they look the same for most of the models listed

Or just call Taurus/Rossi. I bet they would just send you one.

My local ACE hardware now has a gunsmith screw section in with the regular nuts, bolt, screws.

Did that and they won’t just sell or send a screw but they would sell me the whole rear sight assembly for 60 bucks

It is probably a metric size --
