When you check your cap make sure you disconnect the wires and discharge it.

Be careful handling a capacitor. It can ruin your day if it is not fully discharged.

Had the exact thing happen to mine. Took the capacitors to Grainger and they hooked a meter to them. Only one was bad, but replaced both for $27.
