Need new windows for the home

Window world did my friend's house and I am very impressed and so is he.
I used Champion at my mom's house and am satisfied, but I think there over priced.
I'm going to use window world on my house.

A older friend just got a quote for replacement standard double hung windows on her ranch style house. They wanted $24,000 for 18 windows, but if she signed on the spot they would drop it to $18,000. She asked him to leave and not come back. $1,000 a window is robbery. Replacing standard double hung windows isn't rocket scientist work. Pretty easy, HD and Lowes sell the windows and it's DIY.

I replaced all of the windows in our house myself .

I’m a decent handyman, but it ain’t that hard. the hard part was finding affordable ones .
Ours are five feet high and seven feet wide.

we used Andersen 100 I think. From Home Depot
Some kind of plastic or fiberglass

Found them in dark brown outside and tan inside ,

just removed the old ones and installed the new ones.
Take off the trim inside and out, remove the old windows and slide the new ones in , fill in the gaps with insulation and caulking and re install the trim.

most of the replacement windows are weird because they take up too much of the hole , it looks weird having so much trim and not as much glass .
