Am I the only one that is gonna mention the condition of the insulation on the black wire going to the barn? Looks rough and cracking apart. Also, voltage drop...how far is this barn from the house panel? Will 8/3 or even 6/3 be enough?

That depends mainly on what your running off it also.If those 2 won’t carry it. Other option is a different meter base. Sounds if it’s just 110 and 220 minor electrical pull.
