need some help with chip keys 98 honda accord

The ring I would think would be generic. If it is bad you might be able to swap it. ( I don't know how it is put together).
Is that key idiot light on?

Yes the green key light blinks. Apparently the ring is just the receiver antenna and changing it doesn't require anything to be reprogrammed.

I am going to the boneyard to get another ring. I swapped the main relay because the starter spins so slowly. This is strange because I had 15 volts yesterday when we were on the charger and it spun slowly then too.

if you go to a real locksmith shop you should be able to take the old key and the new keys have them program with a rw2 machine a hd106pt5 to the old key and then cut the hd106pt5 to match the new set of keys. that should fix the problem unless the transceiver ring is broken. you can pm me with your number and i will call u if needed
