Well that would be 480 for the barrel, 200 handguard, 300 BCG,100 charging handle, probably 200 for matching billet upper. That would 1,280 for a matching upper Vs. a 480 dollar barrel swap. I think you know where I am going with this. LOL

It’s only money. Lol. And I vote tacos.

Well so far the 308 is beating the 6.5 out by a landslide. So hell I don't what to do. The largest group I printed with this rifle was like .525 and the smallest was aroud .25. Now that was after getting the bullets on paper and then getting it sighted in and in quick succession I did four 3 shot groups. With an average of .375-.425 I can't exactly remember but I know is was well under .50... If I would have let the barrel cool down a little I believe it would have blown that out of the water. So accuracy is not a factor I was just thinking about a longer barrel in 6.5 Creed.

6.5 undeniably has better long range ballistics for target and match applications. However, 308 is perfectly capable at 1k. At 600, there is no real need for the 6.5 over a 308.

My thoughts and mine alone, if the majority of your shooting is 600 and in, you will rarely go to 1k and have no plans to go further, save the money for now now and put said money into better glass.

Word!

It doesn't really sound like you need the creedmoor. The reduced recoil is nice for competition but for 1k paper punching, a 175 smk will do fine

.260 Remington

Barrel
Upper
Hand guard

Use the rest from The 308, as it takes about 3 second seconds to swap out.

Before you go talking crazy,
Lee’s Precision In Bowdon Built a .260 Gasser that will “do it.”
