Looks like a commission 88 from that one pic.

sorry, the pics are crap. i'll get better ones tomorrow. it had non US markings, i couldn't even figure out the caliber. it was stamped RAF on the front site.

I think it's a Carcano 1891. Hard to tell for certain from those pics though. If that's correct, the caliber is 6.5x52
