So should I expect a visit from the PD? I traded a pistol to a member (who showed his carry permit) and got a call at O dark thirty last night that he needed a BOS. When I asked why, he said he had a ND. I assume police were involved since he said he had a case number and also said everyone was ok.

Not going to call him out, just trying to figure out if there's any legal issues for me. I bought it from a dealer 4-5 months ago and traded it even for AR stuff. Seems cut and dry but just want to make sure.

Why would he now need a BOS? Is he in Dekalb county by chance? I have heard of cops confiscating guns here when the owner can’t produce proof of ownership.

Doesn't make since to me? Sounds like he is legal to own, so why would pd need his bos? Weird story, hell, he could have just made up the story to get said bos?? Curious to see how this plays out.

Probably to go after the guy who sold him the gun since he probably wasn't legal to own. Another reason to avoid a BOS.
