Wrong.
Been there, done that, got my guns back to prove it.
The BATFE had possessions of my stolen guns.
They wanted "proof of ownership".
I told them that they could just turn the thieves loose, because if they weren't my guns, they weren't stolen and no crime could have been committed

I do now. After all I read on ODT how a BOS will protect me from cancer and cure me of some STD's.

That BOS for the Mauser 96 I bought for $30.00 hard earned dollars in 1964 is going to look real authentic.

Dummying up a BOS for the Winchester Model 69A my dad bought in ought something is going to take some real creative effort. But what has to be done, must be done.
