Picked this up a few days ago and have been working on it, trying to get it ready the table this weekend in Chattanooga.
Boy howdy this thing cleaned up nice and has some gorgeous wood. It's got some issues though, like the stock being a surplus BSA marked British stock that has been duffle cut and a horrendous repair job done. The finish work is generally fairly horrible with tool marks everywhere. The barrel bands and springs dont fit right either but that's probably due to shrinkage of the wood. I repaired the lock and put screws in it, so it will fire but I wouldn't advise it. The bore is non concentric and looks like a taco bell sewer pipe.
Anyone else have any of these IMA 3 band Enfield rifles? I would love to see yours and compare notes about various alterations and markings!
