in short, using a heavy @$$ BCG & heavy spring to hold the breech shut is OLD TECH, results in higher recoil than needed and makes the gun heavier. might as well get a Tec9 / Uzi. that's why the MP5 NEVER went out of popularity as it uses rollers as a mechanical advantage to the recoil (delayed blow back). HK's replacement for the MP5 (UMP) use straight blowback and they were never as popular.
or just get a Stribog A1 (straight blowback) as it would be way cheaper and does the same thing w/same modern accoutrements (pic rails). or skorp EVO if you like plastic, lol.
I hear the SIG MPX (gas operated) is very nice, I dunno anyone who has 1, to try. I've heard it said that 9mm ARs (straight blowback) recoil HARDER than a normal AR15 (locking bolt, gas operated).
