I guess I got tired of looking for something like this and not finding one for the right price or close enough proximity so I would not spend 5 or 6 hours on the road. What I did was, to just go out a purchased a new one. I have been wanting to try the RIA so here it is. I have Springer's and have great luck with them and I have been hearing good things about RIA 1911's and wanted a commander size for a carry instead of my M&P Shield. I don't really know about the writing on the slide but the price was right.

Nice 1911. Hayata has the same gun and I've shot it quite a bit. They are great little shooters for the money. I don't think I've ever shot a 1911 I didn't like. :thumb:

Thanks guy's. I was looking at a Colt Defender but they are priced a bit more than I am willing to give at the moment. I don't want to say I am settling but if it's dependable, then it will be a good .45 carry. I might just go to our local indoor range and test it out buy putting a couple hundred rounds through it today. Besides, what's in a name right? I never really have been "Name Brand Loyal" anyway.
