Why is a new platt needed? Just asking. Isn't the most current one in possession of the county a legal document?

The current platt, if one's actually recorded at the county, WON'T have the treehouse location on it by the surveyor back in the day.

Because if you are trying to "lock the man up" you need a plat that explicitly shows exactly where the treehouse is (on the platt)... not something that you drew onto an old plat.

Not trying to argue with you Sir, but... Regardless of the location of the treehouse on the property (given it's inside the lines) , the plat on file should show the property lines. These lines are what you are being taxed on.

This sounds like all the adverse possession cases we read in property class.

You're right.. I just took the plat of my property with 4 lines and scribbled the White House inside one of my corners.... YEAH !!! I now own the White House, Get Out Barak !!!!
